On the date of febuary 8th 1945, A large scale German offensive at the borders of
Germany, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Luxembog.
Over 220,000 german soldiers lost there lives and 110,000 made into prisoners of war,
4,130 allied officers where killed in the line of duty, 20,231 wounded, and 16,746 missing in action,

Do to the low visability of the area the German offensive wen't completely unnoticed. In early febuary the German armies began to amass infantry, tanks, and planes in the forests of Belgium. Later that same year they attacked the battle keeped for just under 50 days. Do to the German forces large numbers they quickly over took the first 3 regiments they encountered but the next few would not be quit so easy. Over all odds the 24th unit to join the fight took poin and defeated the Germans, ending the war and killing Hitler's nazi regime. After the battle 13 officers in the battle on all ides, were tried in a military court at some time. One of those men were commander Peiper of Germany, SS division tried in 1946 for charged for killing more then 100 Belgiam civilians. He was found guilty and sentenced to death.
